#GetReadySG is a national skills initiative co-created by Microsoft and Generation Singapore, in partnership with Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

#GetReadySG combines Microsoft and Generation’s expertise in training and leverages Government schemes to address employer-specific hiring challenges. The initiative aims to upskill job seekers looking to switch to a tech career and match them with meaningful employment opportunities in the industry.

The initiative is a one-stop training and hiring solution that addresses both immediate and future hiring needs.

As an employer partner, you benefit from reduced internal investment in training and onboarding new hires, and seamless linkage to government schemes and funding.

1) SG United Mid-Career Pathways Program - Company Training

SG United Mid-Career Pathways Program—Company Training (SGUP-CT) is a SkillsFuture program targeted at young professionals and mid-career job seekers impacted by the economic consequences of COVID-19, looking to gain in-demand digital skills and chart their careers in technology.

The 9-month program consists of a 3-month job-role specific bootcamp which is designed in consultation with employer partners. The bootcamp is delivered in partnership with Temasek Polytechnic and is followed by a 6-month paid apprenticeship with an employer partner. This program also provides learners with learning pathways that can lead to industry certification by Microsoft.

2) Imda Techskills Accelerator—Company-led Training (Hire and Train)

IMDA’s TechSkills Accelerator—Company-Led Training (TeSA-CLT) program targets fresh or mid-career professionals who wish to take on a full-time tech role, and pursue training alongside work. Upon selection by an employer partner, trainees will undergo a 9-month on-the-job training, which includes instructor-led training, designed in consultation with employer partners.

This program will also provide trainees with learning pathways that can lead to industry certification by Microsoft. Upon completion of the 9-month program, trainees will have access to apply to full-time openings at their respective host companies or avail additional placement assistance from Generation to apply for tech job openings across sectors.

As an employer partner, you’ll have access to pre-screened candidates with relevant experience. You’ll also incur reduced investment in onboarding and training new hires.
