Gloria Arlini Promoted to CEO of Generation Singapore

Singapore, 1 March 2025—Generation Singapore announced the appointment of Gloria Arlini as Chief Executive Officer, as the organisation achieved the milestone of having enrolled 1,600 learners in its train-and-place programmes. In her new role, she will continue to collaborate closely with the board of directors, chaired by Neeraj Seth. Arlini has assumed the responsibilities effective 1 March 2025.

“The board decision was unanimous in appointing Gloria Arlini as the new CEO of Generation Singapore.” Seth said. “In the past 20 months, Gloria has driven an organisational transformation—advancing AI and cyber-enhancements with strategic partners and implementing key programmes, such as Generation’s first SCTP programme in healthcare and GenAbled (Generation’s tech programme for persons with disabilities). We have full confidence that, under her leadership, Generation Singapore will continue to expand its reach and impact, empowering more individuals to achieve economic mobility and transform their lives.”

Arlini brings nearly two decades of social impact leadership experience in the public, private and people sector across Asia. Her career spans roles at various national-level organisations in Singapore, including the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and SG Her Empowerment (SHE), as well as regional ground-up social enterprise Chapter W. She combines her management experience with her background as a social researcher and advocate, holding a B.Soc.Sci. (2nd Upp Hons) and M.Soc.Sci. in Sociology from the National University of Singapore. Arlini joined Generation Singapore in July 2023 as Acting Chief Operating Officer, and stepped into the full position as COO (Country Lead) in January 2024. The CEO position was last held by Prateek Hegde until July 2023.

“I step into this new role with a deep sense of humility and responsibility. The current Generation Singapore team builds on a strong legacy of our founding stewards, and is staunchly committed to our mission to transform the lives of individuals through skilling and employment,” Arlini said. “Having interacted with our learners and community closely this past 1.5 years, I have seen firsthand the direct impact of our work in improving the lives of underserved jobseekers in Singapore. I look forward to deeper collaboration with our ecosystem of partners to amplify our collective impact and support more individuals into employment opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible.”
