  1. How can I apply for a program, and what are the eligibility requirements?

    Navigate to the programs page and select the APPLY button. Each program has a unique registration link, please refer to the name of the program when applying. In order to be eligible to apply, ensure that you meet the following criteria;

    -Singapore Citizens or PRs aged 21 yo and above, excluding those who:

    -Graduated or graduating in Calendar Year (CY) 2019 / 2020 / 2021 from ITE, Polytechnics, Universities, and other educational institutions. This includes graduates from private universities as well as overseas institutions; and

    -Graduated from the educational institutions mentioned above and completed or completing their National Service (NS) in CY 2019 / 2020 / 2021 and are entering the labour force.

    -Not currently in education, training, or stable employment

    -Available full time for 9 months, and ready to start a full-time job straight after the course

  2. How do I do the tests?

    The technical tests are integrated in the registration process. Just click to the next stage and you will be directed to the Logic test and Technical Assessment.

  3. I have started my application, but I am seeing a blank screen?

    It’s important to confirm your email address once you have started your application, without doing this you won’t be able to progress to the next stage. You will also need to enable cookies in your browser to access the application. We have outlined the steps that you need to follow below:

    1. Close your current application window

    2. Confirm your email address — an email would have come your way asking you to do this (please check your spam/junk folder as it may have gone in there)

    3. Enable cookies in your browser (if you’re not sure how to do this a quick web search will provide instructions on how to do this based on the web browser you are using)
    4. Log back into the application form in a *new browser window*

  4. Where and how will the classes be running?

    The session will be conducted in a blended format, online via MS Teams and in person will be held at Temasek Polytechnic.

  5. Can I apply for more than one program?

    You are allowed to apply for as many programs as you like, please note that you must use a different email address for each application that you make. Otherwise, our system will not allow you to start a new application. Before making that decision, please check out the Tech Quiz to find out which role fits you better.

  6. Are there any sample program exercises I can do?

    We recommend that you undertake the courses we have signposted to you on the program page as they will give you a good idea of the types of content you will cover on the program.

  7. I’m not sure which program I should apply to?

    Not to worry, we understand that there are lots of programs to pick from. We would recommend that you have a go at our quiz here which should help you with deciding the best type of tech program for you.

  8. What support will I be provided to secure employment?

    Generation graduates are introduced to employers looking for entry-level talent through our exclusive Employer Connection Events. At Generation, we are committed to supporting you to gain employment, which is why as standard all graduates are supported for 6 months after graduation to help you land your dream role. Generation graduates continue to be supported by volunteer mentors to assist in creating stand-out CVs and receiving interview coaching on how to perform at competency and technical interviews.

  9. How much does the program cost and how much training allowance will I get?

    The full course fee before subsidy is $21,190.00 SGD + GST and nett course fee after subsidy is $750 SGD (inclusive of GST) ($700.93 + $49.07 (GST)). Trainees will receive a monthly training allowance of up to $1,500 throughout the course of study. Please take note of the following requirements in order to be eligible for the subsidy:

    • Trainees must fulfil minimum attendance requirements and pass assessments to qualify for course fee subsidies.
    • Trainees who are unable to meet these requirements may be asked to return the course fee subsidies that they have received.
    • The program allows trainees to exit without penalty if they are successfully placed into a job or have secured a job on their own accord while undergoing training. However, trainees who exit the program without a valid reason may be asked to return the course fee subsidy that they have received.
  10. My application is under review, how long is this going to take?

    Please note that it can take up to 2 weeks for your application to move onto the next stage of the process. If you have not heard back in 2 weeks then get in touch with us.

  11. Why was my application rejected?

    Your application was rejected as you have not met one of our programs criteria’s. Please ensure that you take a read of these on the program page (these can differ depending on the program).

  12. Do I have to complete the registration process in one sitting?

    The application process should take you at least one hour or around 4hours for Business Intelligence and Data Analyst program to complete, therefore, the window will not automatically time-out. You are able to open other tabs on your window to research how to best answer the question. Please note that once you have submitted your answer you cannot go back and amend it, therefore, we recommend that you read through your answer/s thoroughly prior to submitting it.

  13. Can I reapply if I don’t get in this time?

    We are more than happy to receive a second application from you in the future if you do not get a place this time around.

  14. During the online interview on HireVue, I noticed some glitches on the interface of the platform, what should I do?

    Don’t worry – please continue your interview process and do play back your recording to ensure that your video recording is not affected by the glitch. We recommend utilizing the strongest potential connection possible and to use one of the following browsers when completing the interview for the best experience:

    • Chrome (latest)
    • Firefox (latest and latest ESR)
    • Internet Explorer 11+
    • Safari 10+
    • Edge (on supported versions of Windows 10+)
