As part of the SGUnited Mid-Careers Pathways Program Company Training (SGUP-CT), you’ll get the skills and training you need to get a job as a Cloud Support and DevOps practitioner. The program is delivered full-time in a blended model (online & in-person) for 5 days a week over a 9 month period (3 months bootcamp + 6 months apprenticeship). This includes technical training combined with hands-on projects and activities designed in consultation with employer partners and employability skills development to prepare you for your job search.
After the completion of the bootcamp, Generation Singapore will match you to one of our employer partners to continue to hone your skills through a 6-month paid apprenticeship, during which you will apply what you have learned in the bootcamp in a real-life scenario, and continue you to pursue learning advanced topics to secure industry certifications from Microsoft.

Temasek Polytechnic and Generation will conduct relevant skills training for young professionals and mid-career jobseekers impacted by the economic consequences of COVID-19 and increase their accessibility to in-demand entry-level tech roles. The ‘Train and Place’ program is designed to increase employment in the technological sector and will help participants to take up traineeship opportunities in companies across various sectors. Upon completion of the online tasks, you would need to answer 4 questions during the video interview. We use this time to get to know you better as a person, to learn about your motivation to do the program, and to understand how we can best support you to complete it successfully.

Cloud Support practitioners help people and companies solve problems including creating new accounts and managing cloud file storage. Cloud practitioners perform the coding and software engineering that brings the architect’s vision to life. They merge traditional programming skills with specialized knowledge in Azure platform’s development environments to build, deploy and optimize cloud-based applications.

Learning outcome
This curriculum prepares participants for the Cloud practitioner role. Cloud practitioners perform the coding and software engineering that brings the architect’s vision to life. They merge traditional programming skills with specialized knowledge in one or more of the leading cloud platforms' development environments to build, deploy and optimize cloud-based applications. Cloud engineers generally perform the following tasks:
- Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on cloud platforms
- Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
- Provision, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure defined as code
- Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
- Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
- Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of cloud infrastructure and systems
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for code build and deployment
