Sharmaine Yeo
Programme Associate
Sharmaine loves bringing out the best in people and brings a spirit of excellence into all areas of her life. After graduating from Singapore Management University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Sociology, she kicked off her career in the MICE industry, where she managed key aspects of Conference and Exhibition production. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she was let go and embarked on a career switch into Healthcare as a Physiotherapy Assistant. Deciding not to pursue undergraduate studies in Physiotherapy, she became a Student Care Teacher.
After reflecting on where she sees herself years from now, Sharmaine eventually joined Generation as a Learner Success Associate. Though another career change comes with challenges, being able to create a positive social impact for career switchers like her is what keeps her going. She looks forward to growing alongside Generation’s community of empathetic, driven and rigorous teammates, learners and alumni.
In her free time, you’ll typically find Sharmaine savouring coffee, trying out a new food haunt or activity, doing something sporty or having heart-to-heart conversations with friends and family. She loves staying at home but also loves exploring the world, especially through a dive mask and swimming alongside fishes.
